Abstract

Climate change is a critical challenge that significantly impacts global food security, defined by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) as the state in which all people, at all times, have physical, social, and economic access to sufficient, safe, and nutritious food. This paper explores the intricate relationship between climate change and food security, employing an interdisciplinary approach that incorporates environmental science, economics, and social sciences. By examining rising temperatures, altered precipitation patterns, and extreme weather events, the study reveals their effects on agricultural productivity, food distribution systems, and nutritional quality. Furthermore, it highlights adaptive strategies that can mitigate these impacts and emphasizes the need for collaborative efforts to ensure food security amid a changing climate.
