Abstract
Social media has become an integral component of modern communication, profoundly influencing public opinion, particularly during political events. This paper examines the role of social media in shaping public perceptions and opinions through a case study of recent political events, including elections and social movements. By analyzing data from various social media platforms and surveying public sentiment, this research highlights the mechanisms through which social media impacts political discourse, voter behavior, and civic engagement. The findings suggest that while social media can facilitate democratic participation, it also poses challenges related to misinformation and polarization.
