This research paper examines the representation of urban landscapes in contemporary poetry, focusing on how poets articulate the interplay of place and space within metropolitan environments. By analyzing a selection of works from diverse poets, this study seeks to understand the emotional and sociopolitical dimensions that urban settings evoke in contemporary poetic discourse. Through a qualitative approach, this paper highlights themes of alienation, identity, and belonging, contributing to a broader understanding of how urban landscapes shape human experiences.
